Malkin in the Mix

Some dude mumbling to his Truck Nuts about the Penguins trading Malkin for a #2 center, a winger for Crosby, ten bottles of 1970 Chateau Lafite Rothschild red wine, and a usable horse, so they can get to town early in the morning to sell their wares.

Already a young Confederate on the Thrashers message board is pitching the idea of sending Colby Armstrong, Todd White, Ondrej Pavelec and a 2010 1st-rounder to Pittsburgh for Evgeni.
Sigh. Doesn't Major Taylor of Hampton-Sydney know that the price for Malkin would be Kovalchuk? I don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility that Malkin will be moved at the trade deadline, given the general suckiness of the Penguins of late, but somehow I don't think Armstrong, White, Pavelec, and a 1st-rounder of any vintage would allow the world the sight of Kovy and Geno playing together.

Like I said, throw an impressive horse and 10 bottles of Rothschild in with Army, White, Pavs, and a 1st-rounder. THEN we're talking.
