Well I'll Be

Coming soon: Jeremy Roenick and Ed Belfour.

UPDATE: Looks like Chelios first has to clear waivers. When he does, he'll stay in Chicago as a depth guy/potential call-up. What do we make of this?

And here I was hoping for Tony Amonte. I approve of this move, by the way.

It's snowing bitch kitties up here. How is it in the big city?

What. The. FUCK?

Don't we need another forward? Are we going the Toronto route where we'll dress 11 defenders for a game? I guess he can bitchslap Bogosian around a bit, but this is a weird move to me.

I'm confused by this. Very, very confused.

I think it might signal more moves to come, or perhaps one of our 6/7 guys being sent down.

I think it is a GREAT signing. He's the 3rd line d-man you want. Still tough, very smart and doesn't have to play alot of minutes. He'll play with Bogo on
3rd line. Seriously, I know he is 100 years old, but isn't he like 3rd in plus/minus in AHL? He should have enough in the tank to play 3rd line minutes. Now we have some assets to trade to get that forward.

Well said, h.

Shooter-

Yes, lots of snow.

This is obviously setting us up for some kind of trade. Mark Popovic for Teemu Selanne, probably.

We have a game tonight, right? Where's the ironic picture taking a jab at the Panthers, HEEENGH?

I'll tell you what I wouldn't mind seeing......trade Kozlov for the best pick you can get, and then take that pick and Armstrong and trade for Ponikarovsky (if you don't think Coby will sign here). I think if they do that, I like the team we have for the stretch run (minus Todd White, but nobody is taking him).

Popovic is a goner. Or Schubie.

So what though?

Cheli's value as a mentor to Zach Bogosian is worth the money we'll be paying him to play every other game till the end of the season.

Then again, we only have 4 more B2B games this season. He could end up a permanent fixture on the 3rd pair with Bogo for the majority of the remaining games.

This is fun!

More trades sure to follow.

Speaker- my thoughts exactly. I don't know how much we're paying Cheli, but it's a bargain just to let him play Crash Davis to Zach Bogosian's Nuke Lalouche.

Razor - looks like we're gonna pro-rata pay his wrinkled butt $700 K. A decent price if you ask me...maximum will be $225 K or so if we go deep in the playoffs (lol). But the latest makes it appear as Colby is a goner...and knowing Waddell, if Kevin Allen speaks, something's about to happen. So can Hossa + Dupuis translate into RFA Wojtek Wolski?

I wonder if Chelios' wheelchair will count as a roster spot?
