Clarke MacArthur for 3rd, 4th Round Picks

I have to admit I had never heard of this guy before, but like what I'm reading in his stat sheet and on Hockey's Future.

Sounds like a solid third line guy who could mature into a second liner. Doesn't provide size, but does give good depth as a 20 goal scorer.

Tried to look up his contract, but understandably NHLnumbers.com is overloaded.

Should we be concerned that his +/- is the worst on the Sabres?

h - No.

Razor - I believe he is an RFA.

I like his numbers. Anderson's system could help him breakout.

Vivamore says no deals from Thrashers. Slava and Colby stay apparently.

I know no one else really cares about this, but unless anything else comes in this is an unmitigated disaster for the Edmonton Oilers. Couldn't move anyone.

I think the Oilers will do more at the draft. Souray being out hurt them at the deadline. Plus guys with larger contracts can be moved a bit easier at the draft than during the season.

Oilers are leaking, well, oil.

CM is a RFA making $1.4 M. He's 25 so we seemingly have him for at least 2 years.

Good depth move, but where is he going to play? Does this mean the Kane - Slater - Army line is our de facto 2nd line?

Pevs - Mac - Finny (I believe Mac has C potential) might work well as Pevs, while a great face-off guy, may be better suited to playing on his off-wing so he can score more without having to back-check as ferociously.
