New Kids Got the Right Stuff

As all you readers surely know, in life there are different levels of impressiveness. There's Tasty Bubblegum Impressive, Post-Coital Lounging w/ Stan Getz on the Stereo Impressive, and Triceratops-Shooting-Lasers Impressive.

I'm not sure where tonight's kickass effort against the Islanders ranks. But good heavens it was encouraging to watch. A few unpleasant 3rd period lapses notwithstanding, the Thrashers played like a cohesive, in-sync, super-effective unit tonight.

And how about the new kids on the block? Clark Griswold and Evgeny Artyukhin scored gritty goals that Monsieur Catalogues described as being like a "damn whale on the ice scoring a goal." Niclas Bergfors is more impressive with each game.

What does this mean?

Like they say, "Oh oh oh OH-OH, oh oh OH-OH..."

Is it me or are the boys playing as if they WANT to be here. Something sorely missed during end of Kovy's tenure.

To quote the Walter Matthau-sounding commentator from the SNES game Relief Pitcher, "What a game!"
