This whole thing just puts a bad taste in my mouth. Why couldn't he just go to the Wild.

Hossa turns down detroit offer. He could always come home. You know he misses that nice russian by his side.

Uh, Jointhead, did you really have to use the term "killer"?

Whew...at least he didn't go to the NYR...

This does make one less team for Hossa to go to. Kings, Leafs, Habs? Am I missing anyone? Maybe, just maybe...

Jay-

You've got me thinking dangerously hopeful thoughts, but I think Montreal will make a push for Hossa.

Well, you have to think that you have VAN, MTL, TOR, LAK, and maybe the NYR going for the same group of players. The Sedins are going to one team, Gaborik is going to another, Cammalleri to another. If Havlat doesn't resign with Chicago, he's going to follow the money(which is probably still less than what Hossa will get). Whoever signs him is most likely out of the other players, though. The Rangers have to resign Brandon Dubinsky(a RFA), LA has Jack Johnson to resign. I would love for Hossa to be left at our doorstep, but what I'm trying to get at is that SOMEONE good will be left out in the cold looking for a home. Hopefully it's Hossa or Gaborik.
