I've already explained the Chronicle's role in inadvertently starting this great war between drooling fiends and David Letterman. Perhaps I should've gotten this mediocre joke patented; that way we would have protests outside Chronicle Headquarters, and thus Publicity. Oh well, hockey NEVER gets through to the mainstream; it has to be Pat Booned with baseball references instead.

That is just amazing. Now, I'm not normally in favor of outright murder, but I think the world could do without all of these people.
The one lady said Dave had a daughter, WRONG. She said Pailn's daughter was at a basketball game, WRONG. I find this mis-information insulting! And Dave's wife is a slut? Wow. When you are upset about a bad joke you shouldn't lower yourself to that level. Makes your argument less effective.
I particularly liked the guy who said he only watches Fox News.
Really, this makes me vomit. When you are a public figure, your daughter gets knocked up and then you parade both her and the father (who obviously didn't want to be there because he hit the road almost as soon as the election was over) around in order to further your political career... you should expect jokes in return.
And when the joke comes about your daughter getting knocked up, YOU SHOULD ASSUME IT WAS ABOUT THE DAUGHTER THAT GOT KNOCKED UP AND NOT THE 14 YEAR OLD!!!!!
I really lose faith in mankind when I see stuff like this.

I thought that the joke was inappropriate, not just because of the material, but because that joke is SO. DAMN. OLD. Leave it alone. It's not funny anymore. It was funny when you guys did it because it was timely, the right kid, and involved the Flyers.
I wish that Palin'd put her children away and just focus on the issues. She's not an idiot, but every time I see one of her kids I cringe. We know you're a mom. You're a governor, too - let's focus on that, shall we? The people in that clip are pure awesome, though. It's a TV show. BFD. Get a life.

Yes indeed, and the thing that bothers me most about incidents like this is that it creates an atmosphere of timidity and "watch what you say." Obviously these goons aren't going to succeed in firing Letterman, but they might intimidate comedians enough to where they're scared of making certain jokes.
Which totally sucks.
