The goal itself here is a routine tap in. But the reason that the shot was so easy is some of the most defense-humiliating puck movement you'll ever see. How long before we can have a Junior hockey league in the South?
Enjoy.

FYI, that would be the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL, they very same league our Gwinnett Gladiators belong to. We just never see them because these Kings are firmly entrenched in the vast hinterlands of Canadia.
"FYI" sounds extremely priggish when I read it back to myself.
have you guys seen these? I'm all for physical hockey, but this guy should never get back on the ice again....

Wow, those are bad. At full speed they don't look like that much, but when they slow down you can see him clearly aiming for the head with his elbow.
It's one thing to get a good shoulder check on a guy who's got his head down, but he's trying to cause injury.
Aaron- I had just assumed that it was Juniors based on the face cages and the ridiculous puck handling. Thanks for straightening it out.
Dirk Southern was a Gwinnett Gladiator for the 2 previous seasons. Great hockey name...
