Jimmy! Very good signing by the Atlanta Hockey Thrashers (news broken by our very own Chris V-Spot of the AJC). Details to come...
I think we all knew this was coming but nice to know it has actually happened. No word on whether or not Dudley broke the bank and offered more than a one year contract just yet.
In all seriousness, this is a pretty safe signing. By a player that actually wants to be here. We pretty much have our bottom two lines squared away, which, as anyone will tell you, is a good thing. It would be an even better thing if we had our top two lines squared away. But hey, we have the rest of the summer to work on that. We'll see. Trading that #8 pick if the right deal comes a long will go very far in getting us where we want to be.

Hooray! This is awesome, assuming it's the new and improved Jimmy Slates we saw in the last half of last year. Hopefully it's a multi-year deal.
So is this Slater fellow any good?
This is good news, but I have to admit I don't have quite the enthusiasm of the man in the photo. Perhaps my interest is Building Uh Contender is waning. WHY can't I be more like the toothless guy?!
The toothless guy doesn't really have enthusiasm. He's just yelling at someone that's too farfromnearme to hear him.
Well I'm excited. Jimmy deserved recognition for the effort he put in to go from healthy scratch to pure heart and soul player this season. He wants to be here and spoke in end-of-the-year interviews as though this was his team. Welcome back Jimmy. Let's hope we can build a winner around you to reward your loyalty.
