The NHL suspended Thrashers forward Colby Armstrong for two games on Friday, one day after he delivered a hit to the head of the Capitals’ Mathieu Perreault.
Well I'll be. Your editor confesses that he didn't see much of the game last night, as during most of it he was distracted by the fading early evening sunlight at a dog-filled cafe terrace. Didn't see the Armstrong hit, but I'm sure it's just the ol' NHL-wringing-hands-about-these-players-who-like-to-hit, "we must DO something" mentality making random decisions that will accomplish nothing for Marc Savard's ruined head.
Anyway, Colby won't play in Pittsburgh tomorrow, or against the Devils whenever that is. But he'll be back, much like Jesus.
