Fact

The end of that Caps-Habs game was mental.

Also: the Caps. What's their deal, hm?

Also also: Jaroslav Halak.

Listening to the Montreal radio broadcast, the announcer said the Caps "played as individuals instead of a team"...

I've watched some badass Red Wings teams get their ass knocked out by a hot goaltender.

Somewhere, Sidney Crosby is laughing uncontrollably.

It's funny how everyone thought the Western conference was a toss up and pretty much held serve(was Detroit over Phoenix REALLY an upset?) and the Eastern Conference was supposed to be the top four seeds easily advancing and only Pittsburgh is left standing. The hockey playoffs have been infinitely better than the basketball playoffs so far.

Jay- is it even necessary to contrast the NBA and NHL playoffs? Gee, that elephant sure is bigger than that ant.

I was seriously considering putting a $200 bet on the Caps to win the Cup when they were up 3 games to 1. Sure am glad I didn't do it. What a Greg Norman caliber choke.

Don't want to take anything away from Halak, though. 3 goals over the final 3 games of the series against that offense is amazing.

Unfortunately I don't have many teams left for which I can cheer. Can't cheer for Cindy, can't cheer for the Frogs, can't cheer for the Santa Haters, so I'm left with the Bruins in the East. Hate the Wings, hate Danny Heatley, and for some reason just plain don't like the Canucks, so I'm left with the Hawks out west.

If the Bruins and Hawks get eliminated this round I guess I'll have to pull for Ryan Kessler and ... well, nobody I guess.

If only the Thrashers had snuck into that playoff spot and upset the Caps. Oh I don't even want to think about it!
