Everything is Terrible

What's the point of your goalie turning in a stellar performance when the rest of the team--with a few exceptions (Zach Bogosian, Evander Kane)--turns in an arena-silencing performance?

What's the point of playing well in the 3rd period when you play terribly in the first two?

What's the point of having a good supporting cast when your leading man, for all practical purposes, doesn't exist? Awesome as Peter Lorre, Claude Rains, and Sydney Greenstreet are, you can't do Casablanca without Bogart.

What's the point of being confident that we would've won had _____________ not happened if WE NEVER ACTUALLY WIN?

None of this can be a good thing. There's still a good amount of time to turn this around, but Jeebus H., we really need to get serious.

Another thing. You know what the problem is with pre-Halloween Thrashers games? No Furries.

Is it EVER a good idea to leave Max alone at the point??? You saw what happened....just ugly. Slater.......ah, Slater......his first name needs to be "Healthy-Scratch"......Kaner continues to amaze me. He was pushing around anyone who came near the puck. Pavs seems to have shrugged off his one bad game which is a good sign. You KNOW what will happen now....We will win both games in the 51st State ans then return home back in the thick of things....we need 3-1-1 or 4-1 in next 5

If that's our team without The Czar....

I don't think I need to finish that sentence. You watched the game.

It'd be nice if somebody grew a pair and took charge of this team.

Somebody give JA a billy club to remind some of these guys that they have to EARN THEIR PAYCHECKS.

The first two periods reminded me a bit of the early years. The inability to put together 60 minutes on a consistent basis makes me wonder about this team.

Not to say they can't do it. Just makes me wonder.

Alot of new pices on this team so it will take time to get together. Without Kovy I expect a little faltering until someone decides to take this team on their shoulders until he gets back. Kane needs lots of ice time, hard work can be infectious.

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if the last 3 or 4 games is more an indicator of the true Thrashers team who too easily succumb to the will of the other team and then try to claw back into the game after getting down early. It's a little easier to dominate a period when you've fallen behind by 2 or 3 goals.

Again, like in years past, this team needs more grit and a more physical edge. We've got too many finesse players. Hell, even our 6'6" giant is soft (of course we knew that when we got him). Too many guys like White, Kozzy and unfortunately Little, who still gets pushed around too much.

And Peverley, eventhough he is very skilled, is not going to be mistaken for Cam Neely. Now add in Crazy Legs Max and a lumbering giant with great hands and you have very little sandpaper with which to rub the opposing team the wrong way.

We need to clone Kane, Armstrong and Reasoner (although he has not been as physical thus far this year) to add more "pop" and "jam" to each line. Otherwise we are going to have a very hard time imposing our will on other teams consistently.
