Whoa Hey
From the New Jersey Star Ledger:
Paul Martin, still battling to come back from a fractured left forearm, announced Monday that he is taking his name off Team USA's Olympic roster for the upcoming Winter Games in Vancouver.
Alright then, who's it gonna be, Zach "Bogosian" Bogosian or Ronnie "Piano Man" Hainsey?
UPDATE: Bob McKenzie says it'll be Ryan Whitney. Ah well.

They say it will be Gleason (sp?). Komi may be out as well. Bitch Kitties.
Bogosian and Komi would make a nice pairing...perhaps 2014 in Sochi? Right now, Hainsey should not be allowed within 100 miles of Vancouver, BC. Tis a shame if both Martin and Komi are out. Not sure if Whitney & Gleason are good enough to get us a medal. Hmmm...
Yeah, neither Ronald nor Bogo has been playing Olympic-worthy hockey this season. It's a shame.
Good. What I read must have been if Komi can't go. Whitney should be on this team. It can't get here soon enough.
Losing Martin is going to hurt. I am up in the air about Komi. He hasn't played very well at all this season, but he's tough. On NHL ice, toughness is going to be a factor. Sorry Finnland.
I dunno about Komi. I guess you could say I'm pretty biased against him for some reason, but I've always thought he was a pretty overrated defensive dman who could chip in on offense but nothing to write home about.
I'm not saying Hainsey should be there instead, especially with the season he's having.... His defense is a bit too suspect to me. And I'm not saying Bogosian should take his place, because I tend to agree that Bogosian may be a year or two too green as of yet, but surely the US of A can find someone better. Unless they're planning on sticking Komi at the 5/6th spot and having him play shutdown defense. But even then it seems to me there's someone better out there...
