So...

The Czar having a tough time hanging on to that puck.

Seriously, I think my five year old stick handles about as good as Kovalchuk. He has an amazing shot, but he can't handle the puck worth shit. Everytime he gets the puck heading up center ice, I KNOW it's going to be a turnover. He moves his stick too fast back and forth where other guys just do about 1/3 the motion that he does and they hold onto it just fine.

Our offense looks really predictable at the moment. When it's all based on a defender making a cross-ice pass to a forward on the far wall in the neutral zone...and those passes are getting picked off....

At some point adjustments have to be made. This team needs a round of flu shots and a swift kick in the ass at the moment.

GPY- that's the same thing I was thinking last night. Can't tell you how many times the puck was either intercepted or ended up bouncing off the boards down low with no one around but red jerseys.

The Flames looked like a much better team last night. This one could have been as ugly as Monday night.

The 'Nucks are struggling this year. Need to take advantage and turn momentum around before December starts to look way too familiar.

Jay-

You know, it's funny. Most of the time I actually think that Kovalchuk stick-handles like God, especially when he's charging into the other team's zone. He's always been negligent defensively, but recently he's been dismal not only at back-checking but on holding onto the puck in sticky (haw haw) situations.

It's weird. I honestly think his foot is screwed up, but then again who knows?

GPY-

Great point about our offense being predictable. Every team probably knows our game-plan by now, and the sort of passes we're making are easily picked off. Time to dream it all up again, perhaps?

Kovy needs to work on icing his foot and connecting pucks from stick-to-twine instead of emailing me about buying half-season ticket plans.
