Czar Update

He's taking some time off from considering his contract to have his new son christened:

Does this man know how to dress or what?

A bunch of other pictures of the Royal Family from Life Russia.

Yes, he is.

Funny, I thought Russians were atheists...

I hope to God that's a joke.

Did the Chronicle get the email I sent a few days ago?

I assume that's a Russian Orthodox church? (I can't be bothered to click on links to find out if my question is obviously answered elsewhere.)

And yes, the Czar is certainly a snappy dresser. Never did quite understand the kilt photos from a few years ago, though. Is there a McKovalchuck line of ancestry somewhere?

Mr. Recaps-

Sorry to respond late, but we got it and I sent a reply. Bottom line: have at it!

RCP-

Yes, the Ruskies have been Orthodox for an awfully long time; it never really disappeared during the officially atheist Soviet period.

And maybe the McKovalchuks are some kind of Scottish clan that chased a sheep across the North and Baltic Seas into Russia and got lost.

That is possible. Sheep are surprisingly elusive. I once watched several Georgians and two Puerto Ricans chase sheep around a field in vain for a good fifteen minutes before giving up.
