The official press release:
The Atlanta Thrashers have re-signed forward Chris Thorburn to a multiple-year contract, according to Executive Vice President and General Manager Don Waddell. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Despite my throwing him under the bus the other day, I'm fine with Thor coming back. As long as he STAYS on the fourth line, which was quite a unit last season. The interesting question is who will take Colin Stuart's place on the third line. Spencer Machacek? Joey Crabb? Chad LaRose, how about him HEEEENNNGH?

Bringing Thor back is fine as long as it's on the cheap. Since we didn't offer him a qualifying offer, it's pretty clear that's the case. He's making 4th line money and will play on what I and the Czar have deemed to be the best fourth line in the business.
Antropov is a perfect addition to play with the Czar. So we've got our top center and top 4 defenseman. Since we had to trade away Stewie, we're going to need to fill that hole on the 3rd line with either someone from Chicago or a free agent.
I vote for Mike Grier, personally. Barring that, we can give a young guy a shot. I'd really rather see Kane get another year in the juniors or in Chicago before we rush him into the NHL, but as long as we're not putting pressure on him to play more than 12 minutes per night, it might be ok to bring him on up.
I really like the thought of these lines:
Czar Antro Little
Kozy White/Pevs Army
____ Pevs/White Party
Thor Slater Bolts
Bogo Toby
Hainsey Kubina
Peanut Boris
Kari/Ondrej the Giant
MOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!
Actually, Razor, I think I like your lines better than mine. Shamefully, I'd totally forgotten that Mike Grier was available...we ought to get him.
