How did you get that picture of me? Oh, and lets never put Kovy in a shoot out again. He may be blessed with many things (minus accuracy this year), but a shoot out specialists he is not.

Beware Jointhead, The Chronicle has photographers everywhere.

Anyone remember the first 2 years Kovy was in the NHL he scored on EVERY breakaway he got... I have no idea why he is having trouble in the shootout.

Great game by the Czar. Perhaps he is turning things around...

Dude, seriously, that picture looks almost exactly like my mother-in-law. Scary. In more ways than one. Anyways, it was a great night for me, personally. My 4 year old son finally got to see the Thrashers win(fifth game), some guy gave us his season tickets as we were heading up the escalator(he had a suite for the night through a friend of his), so instead of sitting in our usual 313 section, we got to sit in 211(center ice), which I think the 200 sections on the side of the rink are the best seats to get because you are close to the ice, but far enough up where you can see the offense set up and things play out. The night was capped off very nicely by me having the winning ticket for the 50/50 raffle. $1878!!! Sweet! It was a GREAT night.

Thanks Big Shooter! My thought on the game: The Thrashers played very well. They hussled all night and gave themselves some great scoring chances. Lehtonen must be kept and resigned after the season. He has been really good since he has come back from his injury. I did come away VERY impressed with the Sedin twins. They are UFA's after this season. Throw a boatload of money at them, Donnie! There's our center and winger for Kovy's line. The thing that I can't help but think of, is that the Thrashers play inspired hockey the rest of the season, still miss out on a playoff spot by a large margin, but play good enough to realistically take themselves out of the running for Tavares and/or Hedman. Do you not think this is the Thrashers' luck?

Jay,

Kari is indeed a great goalie when he is healthy. Problem is he is always out with something. I'm not smart enough to know what to do with him or Pavs. All I know is one of them needs to be gone before the draft in June.

Sedins will stay in Vancouver. They like it there and the team wants them back.

About playing ourselves out of Tavares, that is what the Leafs have done for years. Miss the playoffs, but not get a real high pick. Hard to improve that way. But as a fan you should never root for your team to lose. Just my thoughts...
