Thrashers Tonight

Ladies and gentlemen, we, here at the Chronicle, tried to do another podcast, but it failed. If you thought the other ones were unfocused, this one was off the wall. Whether or not you listen to the other ones or don’t enjoy or enjoy them, this one just didn't pass.

What we wanted to say though was that we want to thank Rawhide so much for letting us sit with him at the game. It was quite the experience. He was quite the gentlemen, and so accommodating. What a wonderful game it was.

We do want to acknowledge the fact that Richard Peverley is now called the Pev Dispenser ( I say Pevs) . Pass it along. Spread it like wildfire. This name came from Razor, and we are going to run with it.

With that all said, it was a fun game. It was extremely exciting. It was too bad to see what happened to Moose. Kovy, Little, the Pev Dispenser, Hainsey, and so on played quite a game. Good game boys.

Tomorrow the Chronicle goes to Nashville to watch the team. It should be quite the trip. At least tonight we won, and we "did it clean."

Pev Dispenser. I like it. Does Peverley ever lose a face-off? Dare I say, has Kovy found his center? Waddell might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but sometimes he's confused for an axe. Nice pickup so far. Bogosian's play concerns me. You can tell he's got talent, but he seems to be playing so timid. He's playing not to make a mistake instead of playing to make something happen. I also noticed something tonight about Christensen that stood out like a sore thumb. He's soft. Doesn't like contact. Doesn't respond well to it. That goal by Little tonight was SICK. Best goal I've ever seen in person. Looked like something Ovechkin would have done. Lehtonen needs to stay. Other than the occasional blowout(see: Panthers, Florida), he works well with the defense, or lack thereof, that the Thrashers provide him. Moose does not. Pavelec didn't seem to, either. Other than that one game against Florida, Lehtonen has impressed me since he's been back from his injury.

I'm not too worried about Bogo honestly. He's still so young, and he has pulled some good defensive plays. Since he's come back it seems like he is getting more comfortable with playing the puck. It's not like Doughty is going off the wall either, and the reason he has more points anyways is because he was immediately thrown into a top 2 pairing. Bogo is just getting his wings. I mean he's 18 and has only for about 5 months.

Well, I just picked up Peverley for most of my fantasy hockey teams. So, it's a safe thing to say that his run as a productive player is probably over.

Hey now... were you sitting behind us? Because I made a Pevs Dispenser joke too... of course, my boyfriend was like "Ewww, what flavor?" and completely ruined it.

Anywho, great minds apparently think alike, no?

Laura-

My, what a coincidence. We DID happen to be sitting with Rawhide at that game, and I think he'd verify that Razor invented that one independently. Not that great minds don't think alike, of course.

Jay - I think Crushers lack of contact has more to do with his worries about dislocating a shoulder again. I seem to remember reading that the last dislocation was because of a check he threw.
