Our star player has either been demoted to the fourth line or has line-mates that he can't possibly gel with. Either way, he seems depressed and demoralized.
Our owners are cheap and ignorant and indifferent.
Our General Manager is a Grade A blunderer.
Our fan base, if the comments section at the AJC is anything to go by, is mostly a gaggle of mouth-breathing illiterates.
Is there any reason to have hope for this team?

It would make more sense to move Reasoner and Thornburn up to the first line and call it the first line than move Kovy down to the 4th line.
It seems like when Holik and Thorburn moved up. I seriously doubt Kovy is going to play 4th line minutes.
You never know. Kovy has seemed disinterested and frustrated in a lot of the games that I have seen. He's a proud person who might just need this kick in the ass to get himself going. I would not be surprised if Kovy received 4th line minutes in a game or two to shake him up a bit, get his head straight. Something like this might shake the whole team up, actually. If it could happen to Kovy, it could happen to any one of them.
I'm happy this is happening... Shows that our coaches aren't going to let players get away with anything. They are bein held accountable finally. Its about time...
This is true. The player just can't get away with how they are playing. Kovy can do wonders just on his own. Hopefully this will make him get going again. I hope it all messes with their heads in the right way.

Agreed.
warm cookies and milk, chocolate and coconut balls, peanutbutter balls, mmmmmm. wait what were we talking about?
Positives. The foundation is there for a new owner/new GM to make big things happen. Consider:
1) There is a nice group of young players here. There is a core to build around.
2) The organization is not ham strung by terrible contracts (ala New York Knicks, Toronto Maple Leafs). There is loads of cap room.
The hockey operations side isn't doing so badly, it is the ownership/management side that is really holding this franchise back right now.
