Dustin Byfuglien is Honest

What went through your mind when you were told about the trade?

BYFUGLIEN: Right away I was actually bummed. After coming off of winning the Cup, it wasn't even two weeks after we won. You're still in a celebration mode, but once I got off the phone and sat down and really thought about it I was excited. I was ready to get out of there and get ready for a new change and set new goals for myself. I'm excited and I can challenge myself for new things in life. It's just another step.

...the man says, in an interview, which you can read here.

I noticed that. But you know, who could blame any of them for being bummed. They had just WON THE CUP! I'd be pissed too for awhile. But the important thing is he took that frown and turned it upside down! What a GUY!

Hey, this is his chance to shine on the blueline and make himself into the next Pronger.

Also, I want more Ladd & Buff on the radio, the TV, the post-game show. They should be the fucking hosts for their own radio show after the games. Laddy and Buff, the new Laurel & Hardy of our time.

Who can blame the guy for being upset that he got traded from the team that he just won the Cup with two weeks earlier? It doesn't matter where you're headed, that isn't going to feel good at first.

"Hey, thanks for all the help bringing us the Cup. We won't be needing you any more."
