The only option was to carry up the wall and work the perimeter. The Falconerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04076370578856420134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3345962750124330515.post-24006066762741970622009-11-23T11:42:02.060-05:002009-11-23T11:42:02.060-05:00You're right that these next two months will b...You're right that these next two months will be hellacious for their endurance and depth. We'll see what happens, but I am a bit worried about Kovy's disappearance in these last two games.

H-

I think Salmela did have some understandable rest. I've said this before, but I really don't get why Anderson keeps benching Salmela. I'd like to see more of a Salmela-Popovic pairing.Mortimer Peacockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04624643069613171619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3345962750124330515.post-78218644311780050582009-11-23T11:13:56.453-05:002009-11-23T11:13:56.453-05:00Razor-

It was eerie, but between going after Cooke the other night (I always think he needs to leave that to Thor/Boults as he is too valuable to lose for 10+ minutes)and his play last night, it could be the worst I've seen him in a couple of years. I don't know if he was hurt, but he totally coasted, wouldn't come off the ice and was a real liability. I just hope it was "gas" or something. I too was happy when he went off the ice. Do you think he was mad that he was not playing with Max and Antro after the first period? Whatever it was, I hope it passes real fast. Also, Schubert really doesn't impress me. He is starting to remind me of a bigger Exelby.....big hits, but never timely ones, and bad penalties to boot. I say we only play him when we are playing a larger more physical team, like the Leafs or something. I also thought Salmela was a little lost last night too, maybe all of those scratches created a little rust.hnoreply@blogger.com
